Festival Moritzburg
The Moritzburg Chamber Music Festival has appointed Catalan conductor Josep Caballé Domenech as principal conductor Caballé Domenech has been working with the young musicians of the Moritzburg Festival since 2016, who are invited there each year by the festival’s own academy where they form an orchestra. The 27th Moritzburg Festival will take place from 4 to 18 August 2019 and will premiere on 10 August at the Kulturpalast in Dresden.
Josep Caballé Domenech has recently been appointed Principal Conductor of the Moritzburg Festival (Germany) and is in his eighth season as Music Director of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic (USA). He has also held the position of General Director of the Halle Opera and Staatskapelle (Germany) from 2013 to 2018, Artistic Director of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá (Colombia) in 2018, as well as, the position of Principal Guest Conductor of the Norköping Symphony in Sweden from 2005 to 2007.
